Every story shapes how we see the world. Our experiences influence how we relate to others, especially in diverse settings. Recognising these perspectives is key to building empathy, collaboration, and inclusion.
Stories that Shape Us: From Diversity to Collaboration is designed for NGO professionals, youth workers, project coordinators, volunteers, and anyone actively involved in community-based initiatives. This seminar offers a unique opportunity to reflect on personal attitudes, explore the power of storytelling, and gain a deeper awareness of the benefits and challenges of working within multicultural environments.
Through thought-provoking inputs, interactive exercises, and guided reflection, participants will:
- Recognise the impact of personal experiences on cultural perspectives
- Demonstrate increased empathy in multicultural contexts
- Reflect on their own attitudes when working with diverse groups
- Develop narrative empathy as a professional tool
- Strengthen reflexivity and awareness of personal bias
The seminar is facilitated by Matthew Borg Cuschieri, who will guide participants through these reflections and offer insights into how a deeper understanding of our stories can support community work.
Join us in shaping communities where every story is heard, valued, and acted upon.
