What does it really take to create safer environments for young people? This is what St. Francis de Sales Institute set out to discover when developing Safe and Sound: Developing a Peer-Led Safeguarding Education Model for Teenagers Across Europe, a KA2 Erasmus+ project. Now that Safe & Sound is coming to its final stage we want to bring together youth workers, educators and professionals working with young people to reflect on what we have learned and, most importantly, what comes next.
Taking place on Saturday, 26 September 2026, from 8:15 AM to 2:30 PM at the Volunteer Centre – Jake Vella, Paola, this seminar will showcase the project’s journey, key findings, resources and experiences developed through research, training and youth-led activities across Europe. Participants will have the opportunity to discover practical approaches to safeguarding, youth participation and wellbeing, exchange perspectives with others in the field and explore how these ideas can be brought into their own work.
Whether you work directly with young people, contribute to youth and community initiatives, or are interested in creating safer and more empowering environments, this is an opportunity to connect, learn and be part of the conversation.
